Our Story
A tradesman who couldn't find decent van signs. So he made his own.

Manta Signs was born out of a simple frustration — professional van signage shouldn't cost a fortune or take your van off the road.

The problem Greg couldn't ignore
Greg spent years on the tools running his own trade business. He knew from experience that a branded van made a real difference — customers would call saying "I saw your van parked on my street" or "I spotted you working on my neighbour's house." The van was doing the selling before he'd even picked up the phone. So when it came time to get his van signed, he went looking for options. That's when the frustration started.
The wrap quote: £2,500The wrap quote: £2,500
That was the cheapest he found. Some sign shops quoted over £3,000 for a full wrap on a Transit Custom. For a small trade business, that's a huge outlay with no guarantee of return.
3 days off the road3 days off the road
The wrap shop needed the van for 2–3 days. That meant hiring a courtesy van, rearranging jobs, and losing income. The van is the business — you can't just park it up for half a week.
Expensive to removeExpensive to remove
When Greg asked about removal, the answer was £300–£500 and the risk of paint damage. So if he changed his branding, upgraded his van, or just wanted it off — he was paying again.
Cheap magnetics looked cheapCheap magnetics looked cheap
The budget alternative was generic magnetic rectangles from Amazon. They didn't fit the van properly, looked like an afterthought, and started curling at the edges within weeks.
Greg was stuck between two bad options: spend thousands on a wrap he couldn't easily remove, or stick cheap rectangles on his van that made his business look unprofessional. Neither made sense. But he knew the value was real. His branded van was consistently his best source of new customers — better than online ads, better than leaflets, better than anything else he'd tried. He just needed a product that delivered that value without the ridiculous cost and hassle.
What if van signs could be precision-cut to fit perfectly, designed professionally for free, and fitted in under a minute?
That was the question that started Manta Signs.
Building something better

Greg set out to build the product he couldn't find. He spent months researching materials, testing magnetic sheet grades, trialling print methods, and working with vehicle template libraries to get the fit right.

The result is Manta Signs — custom magnetic and vinyl van signs that are precision-cut to fit the actual body panels of your specific vehicle. Not generic rectangles. Not one-size-fits-all. Signs that look like they were made for your van, because they literally were.

He solved every problem he'd hit along the way:

£2,500+ for a wrap → From £210 for magnetic signs
3 days off the road → Fitted in under a minute
£500 to remove → Peel off for free, whenever you want
Generic rectangles → Precision-cut to your exact van
Design it yourself → Free professional design with every order
